Apathy to Farmer Protests in India Continues; Urban India watches from distance and GOI busy with what it is best at !

The Farmer protests rocking India for now more than 100 days, shows the apathy towards #agriculture, #farming, #farmers in India at large…. the urban India the rich and neo-rich class, as well as middle class which is busy making money, name, fame, career …. etc. including many, who have now become more urban than the ones who have been born and brought up in that culture ...walking through the path of villages- as for them the bottom line is earning money, living a lifestyle which was just a part of influence via TV and movies... a race to gallop wealth...which can facilitate buying anything and everything, even humanity!  

Be it the steady work towards bringing an end to the rural and agriculture ecosystem....the rustic and eco-friendly village living ...lifestyle … or the growing challenges of climate change ...environmental degradation….the increased use of plastics that has affected the marine life to dangerous levels …..it’s all for a few select, to raise concerns and initiate nation /worldwide protests; for the rest of #wethepeople, it is all about watching from a distance, as life's all comforts and essentials, stored well for a few generations. It's like, why bother ... especially for the rich and neo-rich segment. The ones on streets know well that either way, they will die, hence better to be on streets and take a stand and fight as there is not much to lose either ways. Exceptions are always there, and yes, there is that 5% that chooses by choice to be on streets and fight for righteousness and humanity...for the universe at large, irrespective of having the choice to walk the easy path.

All the above sentiments reflect.....why such apathy by India towards the #farmerprotests2021. Farmer protest against the Farm Bills, which the Government of India, is just not ready to repeal as demanded by the Farmers, despite the kind of hardships they are facing and many being put behind bars, by hook or by crook, as the BJP and Centre, is trying all to make life difficult for the protesters camping on Delhi border and taking a stern approach of no repealing of the Farm Laws. This has led to  farmers union body launching the statewide meets driven via khap panchayats ... ... the railroko andolan for few hours … or the rallies in states lined up for election... to show the Government and the rest of India sitting in the comforts of their homes and offices, that it is not just a fight for and of the farmers but it is one which is for each one of us who, come what may, needs food....water, free and fresh air to survive and live …

It seems like a divine hand that comes to the rescue of #farmers, or one should say this universe for the living beings, as post the harassment and allegations being attributed to the #Farmers Protest, it has gained more momentum including international attention, though it is another matter that voices are still being arm twisted and many already put behind bars on some pretext or the other, who have dared to put facts upfront for the world at large. So much so that digital media and news are now put on radar with news laws ...on its way...

It’s sad and very demeaning to see how over the years, the so-called education and literacy…. has not added but harmed, not only this beautiful universe but humanity at large, turning everything into an unending race for greed, fake lifestyles, disrespect to self and surely the rest of the world. Exceptions and examples of goodness are sure there but the absence of balanced and humane approach and complete ignorance to the essence and values, its been a growth from good to bad to now worse… of things on ground.

Logic and handsome degrees and money minting minds, and talking in fluent American accent and being far off from the richness of social fabric that once existed, we have come thus far that the social ethos is at its lowest ebb and the microscopic approach with self and greed at its peak, is undoubtedly a recipe for disaster but yes, man-made!  The #farmersprotest with complete apathy by the rest of India shows where and what 'bharat' is all about and what ''India" is all about.
